I just wanted to share something a friend of mine sent me over the weekend. After doing a mini workshop about talking with our bodies and the healing process, she decided to apply the information I shared about the topic.
The main concept of physical healing (and ultimately working with our bodies) has to do with a spiritual conversation. Yes, we can go to the doctors to get our bodies physically worked on like we’re the mechanic’s shop, but healing is not limited to that process. We may not understand how powerful our conversations with the body actually are. They have more influence on what we experience in terms of pain, strength, weakness, aging, agility, flexibility, stamina, and overall health. We’re not externally bound by being a product of our environment or genetics. By unpopular belief, those things are malleable, but if we don’t believe they are, then the ability to have that conversation with them is disconnected. We become a product of our environment and need to go to the mechanic’s shop to have them work on us.
Seeing how conversations with other people can settle our arguments, fights, wars, and misunderstandings, the same is done with our bodies (because, our cells are trillions of little people with consciousness and feelings). The only difference is that it doesn’t speak English, so we need to drop our Western English ego, and start speaking a different, deeper, and more invisible language of our feelings.
This is an example of that invisible conversation my friend shared with me...
“I learned something new today and I'm excited about it so I wanted to share it with you! I've noticed when I'm talking with my body about food, there's this theme of me eating too much at one time. Then I had this conversation!
Me: why do I need to eat small amounts of food?
My body: because this body runs slowly. Remember...you have a slow heart rate and low blood pressure and so your digestive system is slow too
Me: but I don't eat a lot at one time. I eat regular portions like everyone else
My body: but you aren't like regular people. This body runs slower.
Me: why does it feel hard to eat the small meals like I should? Why am I resistant?
My body: because when you were growing up as a child, you didn't always have enough food and you had and still have fears you won't have enough and you'll be hungry.”
This is exactly what I mean when I talk about having that conversation with something that doesn’t speak English. I know, you’re probably wondering how this can be translated into a conversation with feelings. It’s quite simple. Replace the words and phrases with the feeling (or reality) of it happening. All words are expressions of our feelings, and there is a correlation between the two. Don’t just take the words in with our brains as lettering on pieces of paper. They originate from a feeling. Get in touch with that, and the conversations with your body will be quite interesting. The pain felt by you is a form of communication by your cellular aspect, saying something needs to change. What is happening isn’t necessarily working like it did.
I hope this helps in some way when encountering a health issue or just trying to understand why your body is feeling the way it feels. Just keep having the conversations and be a part of your body!
After dealing with many divisions in life ranging from neighborly conflicts to religious and philosophical conflicts, reconciling them is my mission. These divisions can cause many mixed feelings that take longer to remedy and ultimately longer to achieve our unique purposes. My passion is assisting in spiritual evolution while being in the midst of our daily life circumstances...
